HIV/AIDS eLearning Course and Assessment

Helping People Identify Health Risks

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) awarded d'Vinci with an eLearning and assessment grant as part of its ongoing AIDS Community Information Outreach (ACIO) Program. In partnership with POZ and [Smart + Strong], six eLearning modules were designed and developed by the d’Vinci team to help people concerned about HIV/AIDS self-assess their risk and determine if they need to seek medical help. The first scenario-based module covers HIV/AIDS risks and three additional modules will review testing and prevention, what to do when newly diagnosed, and aging topics. A self-assessment survey and links to additional resources add to the educational experience. d'Vinci created additional learning modules to help people understand the importance of taking medication to lower HIV and how to manage HIV-related weight gain.
