Computerized Driver Challenge Game

Teaching Safe Driving through Simulations

As part of its Computerized Driver Challenge curriculum, SAE International worked with us to create the online game, Autonomous Expedition. Students take a thrilling journey where they guide a Motorized Autonomous Response Vehicle (MARV) through a simulated cityscape. In order to operate as an autonomous taxi, MARV must learn the complexities of driving without human help. MARV will be tasked with safely navigating several traffic challenges. Equipped with advanced technology systems and machine learning, each attempt is an opportunity to collect and interpret new data. This information is the key to programming MARV with the skills needed to predict and respond to any scenario.

d’Vinci has partnered with SAE International over the years to create engaging online curricula to teach students about digital citizenship. Learn more about the award-winner work for Navigating the Digital Universe and Investigating Digital Citizenship.

We also worked with SAE International to create the virtual comic book, STEM Sagas: Virtually Rerouted, to teach essential 21st century skills to students.
