Preventing Sexual Violence through Training
The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) works to end sexual violence and advocates for the rights of sexual assault victims through a network of rape crisis programs. New Common Rule Updates Released in Protecting Human Research Participants Online Training
Protecting Human Research Participants (PHRP) Online Training is now updated to reflect the revised 2018 Common Rule regulations which take effect January 21, 2019. The 2018 Common Rule governs human subjects research supported and conducted by 20 federal agencies.
The revised regulations strengthen protections for people who volunteer to participate in research and allow for more flexibility to keep pace with today’s dynamic research environment while reducing unnecessary administrative burden, especially for low-risk research.

New Content Designer Joins d’Vinci Team
d’Vinci welcomes Amelia Berninger to the team as its newest content designer.
Berninger brings advertising agency experience to her role and will create learning solutions that elevate the brands of d’Vinci clients. Berninger will work closely with d’Vinci’s educational consultants and instructional designers to design educational websites, eLearning courses and other learning content for students and adult learners.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication Design from Stevenson University in Maryland. Berninger resides in Carlisle, PA.
Is Digital Learning the New eLearning?
This was a recent topic among the team here at d’Vinci. The result was a surprising consensus that the term “digital learning” should be used differently than the term “eLearning.”
According to our team members, digital learning should only be used when referring to the learner’s perspective. The digital learner participates in digital learning by consuming digital content, using digital tools and engaging in digital experiences.
