Omics Nursing Network (ONSEN)
Fostering Collaboration Among our Nation's Nurses
d’Vinci led the design and development of ONSEN, the Omics Nursing Science & Education Network. ONSEN is a Drupal-based educational website for the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) to educate nurses. “Omics” informally refers to a field of study in biology ending in -omics, such as genomics. d’Vinci originally developed the website for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and later partnered with NINR to help nurses collaborate with those doing research or looking to start research on this topic. At the end of the contract, the website was transferred to the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing.
