Inspiring the Next Generation of Safe Digging

Building Safety Awareness Early

Building on our long-standing partnership with the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), d'Vinci collaborated with the Next Generation Education Taskforce to develop an interactive learning experience for students in grades 3–5. The project extends CGA's damage prevention mission by introducing safety concepts to the next generation of learners.

Learning Through Play

Developed in Articulate Storyline 360, the 15-minute experience teaches students about underground utilities, the importance of the 811 "Call Before You Dig" process, and safe decision-making through an engaging, story-driven adventure. Learners select one of five neighborhood characters to lead the construction of a dream park, answering questions and completing interactive mini-games as they unlock new sections of the park.

Designed to Engage Young Learners

Every element of the experience was thoughtfully designed to make complex safety concepts accessible, memorable, and fun. Through animation, storytelling, game-based challenges, and knowledge checks, students gain a foundational understanding of how everyday choices help protect people, property, and critical infrastructure.

A Partnership That Continues to Grow

This project represents another milestone in d'Vinci's ongoing partnership with CGA. From creating learning experiences for elementary students to developing training for excavation professionals, we're helping CGA educate diverse audiences and foster a lifelong culture of safety around underground utilities.
