d’Vinci Wins Davey Award for Work with Sandy Hook Promise

d’Vinci has won a Silver Davey Award in the Social Responsibility category for its work with Sandy Hook Promise to create the Protect Our Kids Pledge online learning experience, empowering employees at participating companies to help prevent gun violence.

The Protect Our Kids Pledge program encourages adults to prevent gun violence and promote safer communities. d’Vinci worked with the Sandy Hook Promise team to transform the pledge into an engaging, interactive online learning experience hosted on the Sandy Hook Promise Learning Center.

The 65–75-minute course is divided into nine modules developed in Articulate 360. Modules include narration, interactivity, video, and reflective exercises to help participants identify warning signs and take steps to protect children from gun violence. Upon completion, participants earn a digital certificate and shareable LinkedIn badge to demonstrate their commitment to prevention.

“It’s a privilege to partner with Sandy Hook Promise on this powerful initiative,” said Luke Kempski, CEO of d’Vinci Interactive. “The Protect Our Kids Pledge gives individuals a tangible way to make a difference, and we’re proud to bring this message to life through learning.”

About Sandy Hook Promise:
Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) envisions a future where all children are free from school shootings and other acts of violence. As a national nonprofit organization, SHP’s mission is to educate and empower youth and adults to prevent violence in schools, homes, and communities. Creators of the life-saving, evidence-informed “Know the Signs” prevention programs, SHP teaches the warning signs of someone who may be in crisis, socially isolated, or at-risk of hurting themselves or others and how to get help. SHP also advances school safety, youth mental health, and responsible gun ownership at the state and federal levels through nonpartisan partnerships and bipartisan policy. SHP is led by several family members whose loved ones were killed in the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.
