d’Vinci worked with SAE International to develop AWIM® (A World In Motion®) Career Pathfinder, an online learning experience that helps high school students explore a wide range of STEM and technical careers—before they are faced with critical decisions about their futures.

Built for students in grades 9–12, AWIM Career Pathfinder moves beyond traditional career exploration tools by creating a dynamic, learner-centered experience. Rather than presenting static job descriptions, the student immerses in real-world pathways—from advanced manufacturing, automation, and electrification to roles such as marketer, botanist, and city planner—broadening their understanding of what’s possible.

“At a time when students are being asked to make important decisions earlier than ever, career exploration needs to be both engaging and meaningful,” said SAE International Education Program Developer Bonnie Thibodeau. “This experience helps students see themselves in a variety of futures—and build the skills to pursue them,” she added.

Through interactive lessons, students connect their personal interests, strengths, and aspirations to potential career paths. This personalized approach encourages deeper engagement and supports more informed decision-making. At the same time, the course integrates essential career-readiness skills, including critical thinking, communication, and research.

AWIM Career Pathfinder can be easily implemented in classrooms, advising sessions, or broader career exploration programs. This adaptability makes it a valuable tool for schools and organizations seeking to enhance college and career readiness initiatives.
