The American Democracy Game Awarded for Educational Website

The Davey Awards has selected The American Democracy Game as a silver winner in the “Educational Websites” category.

The American Democracy Game places middle school students in the shoes of lawmakers where their decisions impact game play and the outcome of each level. Students earn stars at the completion of each level based on integrity, respect, compromise, honesty, and commitment. The game teaches the concepts of representative democracy—that every individual has equal rights and value, for example, that compromise is necessary at times, and that the minority still has rights under majority rule.

The American Democracy Game was originally created in 2010 by The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and developed by d’Vinci Interactive. It was recently modernized into a fresh learning experience to teach the importance of collaboration.

The Davey Awards honors the best in web, video, advertising, mobile, and social from agencies worldwide. Sanctioned and judged by the top-tier professionals of Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), the Davey Awards has become one of the largest and most prestigious awards competitions for small agencies.
