SafeSecureKids.org, a joint partnership between d’Vinci Interactive and Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR), received a silver Horizon Interactive Award in the Advocacy/Non-Profit Website category.
“We are very proud to be recognized for our work on SafeSecureKids.org,” said Karen Baker, CEO of PCAR. “We hope that by using these resources, more people will talk about, set, and respect boundaries in order to help reduce the number of people who are harassed and abused, ultimately creating a world where kids are happy and healthy and safe.”
SafeSecureKids.org is a free educational resource designed to help parents, teachers and caregivers keep children safe from sexual abuse. The website features helpful resources, videos and an interactive game, to help adults have important conversations with children about bodies, boundaries, and consent. New resources for caregivers and learning activities for kids to learn about feelings are in production and will be available soon.
SafeSecureKids.org is supported in part by The Commonwealth of PA, The Hershey Company, Penn State Health and Highmark. Learn more about supporting this project to keep children safe, happy and free from sexual abuse.
PCAR works to end sexual violence and advocates for the rights and needs of sexual assault victims. We partner with a network of rape crisis centers to bring help, hope, and healing to people in all of the Commonwealth’s 67 counties. Last year, rape crisis centers provided services to approximately 30,000 victims. Each year, rape crisis centers teach over 300,000 Pennsylvanians how to stop sexual violence in their communities. Over 50,000 professionals are trained by rape crisis centers to enhance the Commonwealth’s systemic responses to victims.

About the Horizon Interactive Awards
In its 18th year, the Horizon Interactive Awards was created to recognize excellence in interactive media production worldwide. Since 2001, the competition has received tens of thousands of entries from many countries around the world and nearly all 50 US States. Each year, those entries are narrowed down to be recognized and promoted on an international stage for their excellence. The judging process involves a blend of the Horizon Interactive Awards advisory panel and an international panel of volunteer judges consisting of industry professionals. Winning entries have been dubbed the “best of the best” in the interactive media industry.
