SAE and d’Vinci Honored as Creative Child Magazine Media of the Year

Creative Child Magazine has named SAE International’s Investigating Digital Citizenship challenge a 2023 Media of the Year Award in the Educational Interactive Media category.

The interactive online STEM curriculum created by SAE International’s A World In Motion® (AWIM®) and d’Vinci Interactive is curated for middle school students to explore the impact social media and online content may have on their lives while teaching them the skills they need to be savvy, safe, and responsible online.

Investigating Digital Citizenship’s blended educational program follows suspenseful storylines and relatable, diverse, illustrated characters to teach students about digital safety, ethics, communication, and literacy. Set on stage at a school drama production, characters must decipher clues, solve puzzles, and answer questions about digital citizenship as they travel together to assist a friend in need.

Additionally, the curriculum provides educators with a teacher’s manual which includes lesson plans, classroom activities, and helpful resources as well as interactive AWIM notebooks for student engagement. ISTE, CSTA, and Common Core ELA standards are incorporated in the program for seamless lesson alignment.

About Creative Child Magazine:
The Creative Child Magazine’s Awards Program honors only one product per category for outstanding performance as product of the year. Remaining finalists receive a prestigious Preferred Choice award and other non-finalists may receive The Seal of Excellence award to recognize products that still exceeded expectations. All products are submitted and reviewed by mothers, educators, as well as early childhood professionals. Each year, over one-hundred guest reviewers rotate between stations at a two-day event to review multiple product categories. Upon completion, guest reviewers write comments on each product and score a value based upon the criteria of each category. Final scores are tabulated by The Creative Child Magazine to honor the most prestigious products for product of the year for each category.
