Interactive Interpretation

There is no substitute for physical, on-site interpretation. However, the audience that can be reached by your docents, rangers, or tour guides, even when operating at maximum capacity, is very small compared to the worldwide audience you could reach by taking the interpretation online. There is a huge potential audience that could benefit from learning what you have to share, so why not expand your reach by translating your interpretation into an immersive virtual experience?

Online interactive interpretation allows us to reach every visitor, not just the handful who answer our questions when we interact with a small, finite audience.

Patriot Spy storytelling activityBeyond that, interactive interpretation can introduce environments that are just not possible in the real world. For example, we can provide insider access to publically inaccessible experiences that would be too dangerous or fragile to show all visitors, such as diving into underwater ecosystems or climbing the arm of the Statue of Liberty. In this way, interactive interpretation can provide an experience not possible even when visiting your facility.

Virtual interpretation can inspire, stimulate, educate and provoke people to take action. They can also pique interest and encourage further exploration. And they can provide an impetus to visit your facility in person.

Whether you are looking to enhance your current interpretation, fill in the gaps where no interpretation currently exists, or if you just want to educate people about your facility, park, specific piece of art, a person, or even about something scientific or of social importance, creating an engaging interactive activity may be the best way to reach your greatest audience.
