Directions from South of Hagerstown

From Pittsburgh Area

From Winchester and Roanoke

  1. Take I-81 north.
  2. In Maryland, take I-70 east.
  3. From the Washington Beltway, I-495, take the I-270 exit.
  4. Stay on I-270 to the I-70 (Hagerstown) exit.
  5. From I-70, take the Rt. 40 West exit (exit number 32B) toward Hagerstown.
  6. Follow Rt. 40 about 1 mile to the first light, Edgewood Rd.
  7. Turn right and stay on Edgewood for three lights.
  8. At the third light, make a left onto the Hagerstown Community College Campus.
  9. When on campus, make your first left onto Scholar Drive.
  10. Follow Scholar Drive to the first stop sign and make a right into the parking lot.
  11. The building in front of you is the Technical Innovation Center.
  12. Please park in the spaces marked TIC Visitor Parking Only. Our studio is in room #323. Training is in room #309.

From Richmond area

If you are driving at times when there would be no traffic in DC, take I-95 to the Washington Beltway, I-495 (Tyson’s Corner).

  1. From the Washington Beltway take the I-270 exit.
  2. Stay on I-270 to the I-70 (Hagerstown) exit.
  3. From I-70, take the Rt. 40 West exit (exit number 32B) toward Hagerstown.
  4. Follow Rt. 40 about 1 mile to the first light, Edgewood Rd.
  5. Turn right and stay on Edgewood for three lights.
  6. At the third light, make a left onto the Hagerstown Community College Campus.
  7. When on campus, make your first left onto Scholar Drive.
  8. Follow Scholar Drive to the first stop sign and make a right into the parking lot.

If you anticipate traffic problems in DC, which is most of the time:

  1. Take I-95 north to Fredericksburg.
  2. Take the exit for Route 17.
  3. Stay on Rt. 17, which will wind you through some back country roads at some points, to I-81 in Winchester. (This route is just slightly longer, but traffic problems are extremely unlikely.)
  4. Take I-81 north.
